Choona
Choona is an upcoming Heist Comedy Drama series streaming on Netflix. Created, written and directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra and produced by Flying Saucer, the series stars Jimmy Shergill, Aashim Gulati, Arshad Warsi, Vikram Kochhar, Namit Das, Chandan Roy, Gyanendra Tripathi, Monika Panwar and Niharika Lyra Dutt. The series will premiere on 3 August 2023 on Netflix.
Heartstopper S-2
Heartstopper had officially been renewed for season 2. The queer, British, coming-of-age rom-com series is based on the graphic novel and web comic series of the same name, created by Alice Oseman. Heartstopper season 2 will arrive on Netflix on August 3, 2023.
The Hunt for Veerappan
‘The Hunt for Veerappan’, a biographical true crime docu-series on India’s infamous outlaw is all set to premiere from August 4. This docuseries follows the rise and fall of Veerappan, a dreaded smuggler whose bloody reign sparked a 20-year-long manhunt in south India. Directed by first-time docu director Selvamani Selvaraj, the series is produced by Apoorva Bakshi and Monisha Thyagarajan, along with Kimberley Hassett, and will drop on Netflix.
Only Murders in the Building
Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy-drama television series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The series has received critical acclaim for its comedic approach to crime fiction, as well as the performances of the lead cast and the chemistry among them. The series was renewed for a third season which premiered on August 8, 2023 on Hotstar. The plot follows three strangers played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, with a shared interest in true crime podcasts.
Made in Heaven
The highly anticipated second season of ‘Made in Heaven’ is directed by Kagti and Akhtar, in collaboration with Alankrita Shrivastava, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Nitya Mehra.The much-awaited second season of ‘Made in Heaven’ is set to premiere on August 10, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. revolves around the professional lives of Tara and Karan. Both of them are wedding planners in Delhi, spearheading an agency called Made in Heaven. The series showcases a cast ensemble that includes actors such as Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, Kalki Koechlin, and Shivani Raghuvanshi.

Red, White & Royal Blue
Amazon Prime Video has announced the release of a new film Red, White & Royal Blue on 11 August. The American romantic comedy film directed by Matthew Lopez, is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston. The film stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine as the son of the President of the United States and a British prince, respectively, who fall in love.
Guns & Gulaabs
Guns & Gulaabs is an upcoming comedy crime thriller series on Netflix created and directed by Raj & DK Produced under the banner D2R Films in collaboration with Netflix the series stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, and Gulshan Devaiah. Inspired by the “Misfits of the World“, the series mixes the nostalgic tales of romance, of the 90s, with crime. It is scheduled for release on 18 August 2023 via Netflix.
AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind
Prime Video announced their upcoming docu-series on singer-rapper AP Dhillon titled, “AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind”. The musician, whose full name is Amritpal Singh Dhillon, is known for chartbuster tracks such as “Brown Munde”, “Insane” and “Excuses”, among others.
The unscripted Amazon Original series will showcase the humble beginnings of the self-made Indo-Canadian musician from Gurdaspur in Punjab to his rapid ascent in the music industry, and his association with Run-Up Records.The four-part docuseries is releasing worldwide on August 18.
OnePiece
One Piece is an upcoming fantasy swashbuckler series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda for Netflix. The series is a live action adaptation of the ongoing 1997 Japanese manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. It is produced by Kaji Productions, Tomorrow Studios and Shueisha (who also publish the manga). The series features an ensemble cast including Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar. It is scheduled to premiere on August 31, 2023.
